Enabling logon success, failer audit on Windows

Audit of logon success and failers is a security need. If you feel such a audit required on your windows desktop. You can set it up as below

• run secpol.msc from Start menu
• select Security Settings-Local Policy-Audit Policy
• Click on Audit Account Logon Events
• From the open dialog select checkboxes for Success & Failers
• Click OK

Henceforth your system will audit the logon events and can be checked from event viewer security log.
