Adjusting natural elevation appearance in Google Earth

While panning terrain on google earth one feels that earth looks very flat, and it doesn't give a real feel of the elevation of the region. To set it right get a natural elevation set the Elevation Exaggeration setting to 1.5. The value more than this and limited by 3, would make elevation to appear more pronounced.

To do this, click Tools > Options > 3D View from the Tools menu (for the Mac, choose Google Earth > Preferences > 3D View) and change the Elevation Exaggeration figure. You can set it to any value from 1 to 3, including decimal points.
